Our solutions

Clean water, without the worry

‍

Access to clean water too often stalls because of two obstacles: a lack of capital and a lack of the right technology. Dutch Clean Tech solves both.

No CAPEX required

A fully financed solution

Dutch Clean Tech delivers water infrastructure without a large upfront investment (CAPEX). Working with governments and partners, we finance, design, build and operate the water solution, typically for a period of at least 25 years. The end user pays for the water service delivered, with predictable operating costs.

Proven technology

60+ years of expertise as our foundation

Where water projects worldwide regularly fall short on performance and continuity, Dutch Clean Tech deliberately chooses long-term quality. With the knowledge of sister company Pielkenrood and more than 1,000 installations delivered worldwide, we select proven technology for every project that keeps performing reliably and effectively.

Flexible contracts

A model that adapts to every project

No two water projects are the same. That is why we tailor contract term, financing, capacity and operation to the local situation and the needs of our partners. Together with governments and industries, we create a viable long-term solution with clear agreements and predictable costs.

Construction work on the ProPetapa project

ProPetapa

Guatemala

ProPetapa is a drinking water project in Guatemala City. Together with a local partner, Dutch Clean Tech is developing several water sources for clean drinking water. The water is supplied to the ProPetapa industrial estate and to the water company EMPAGUA, which uses it to supply households with drinking water.

The first phase consists of three water sources, expandable to five. The project has been completed. The total investment is €3 million, and DCT holds a 50% stake.

A large-scale water and environmental project in Cancún

Cancún

Mexico

Cancún is a large-scale water and environmental project with an investment of approximately €105 million. The project consists of three components: processing of sargassum (seaweed), from which valuable raw materials are recovered; production of biogas from organic waste from hotels and households; and three water treatment plants. The treated wastewater can be reused, for example for irrigation.

DCT holds a 100% stake, and completion is planned for Q3 2028.

Agrogen is a fertiliser producer in Querétaro, Mexico

Agrogen

Mexico

Agrogen is a fertiliser producer in Querétaro, Mexico that depends on groundwater for its production. Because of falling groundwater levels, an alternative water supply was sought. The plan is to transport untreated wastewater from Querétaro to Agrogen via a pipeline. DCT is building a water treatment plant there that will treat this wastewater so that it can be reused in Agrogen's production. This reduces the dependence on groundwater.

Investment €10 million. Completion is planned for Q1 2028.

Sarat is a wastewater treatment and reuse project.

Sarat

Mexico

Sarat is a wastewater treatment and reuse project, with a 25-year concession to purchase wastewater. The water is treated and sold to companies that need water for their production processes.

The revenue model lies in purchasing, treating and supplying usable water. The investment is €46 million, and completion is planned for Q3 2028.
