Cancún is a large-scale water and environmental project with a total investment of approximately €105 million. Dutch Clean Tech holds a 100% stake in it, and completion is planned for Q3 2028.
The project consists of three main components: processing of sargassum (seaweed), from which valuable raw materials are recovered; production of biogas from residual streams and organic waste from hotels and households; and the construction of three water treatment plants. The treated wastewater can then be reused, for example for irrigation.
