Review of the investor meeting

Around 80 investors and relations gathered in Heerhugowaard
On Friday 11 September, we welcomed around 80 investors and relations to our office in Heerhugowaard for a comprehensive update on Dutch Clean Tech.
During the meeting, CEO Sander Pielkenrood took those present through the development of the company, the further professionalisation of the organisation, our international projects and the next phase of Dutch Clean Tech. During the presentation, many substantive questions were asked, which Sander answered at length.
Investing in clean water
Worldwide, around €2,000 billion is invested in the energy transition every year. Annual investment in water lags far behind, at roughly €40 to €50 billion. At the same time, much water infrastructure is outdated and the availability of clean water is coming under ever greater pressure worldwide.
Dutch Clean Tech sees this not only as an urgent societal challenge, but also as a significant investment opportunity. By combining Pielkenrood's water technology with private capital, we can develop, finance and operate water treatment plants. In doing so, we do not simply sell installations; we deliver clean water per cubic metre on the basis of long-term contracts.
Ready for further growth
Dutch Clean Tech is in an important growth phase. That is why we are investing in, among other things, expanding the team, a quality management system, the integration of ERP, the financial administration and the further development of compliance and governance.
The organisational structure is also being simplified. This restructuring is intended to bring more transparency towards investors and financial institutions, lower costs and a clearer arrangement of security for investors.
International project portfolio
During the presentation, considerable attention was paid to our existing investments and international sales funnel. The total potential investment value of the sales funnel presented is €380.1 million and covers projects in Guatemala and Mexico.
- ProPetapa and Agua del Mariscal in Guatemala
- Agrogen, SARAT, Cancún and Holbox in Mexico
- Projects under negotiation, including Comapa Tamaulipas, Torreón, Laguna de la Puerta and Lerma
The projects are at different stages, from negotiation and financing to engineering, construction and operation.
SARAT
SARAT is a project in Mexico in which wastewater is purchased, treated and then sold to companies for reuse over a concession period of 25 years. The project has an investment size of €46 million. Dutch Clean Tech holds a 50% stake. According to the current schedule, construction starts in the first quarter of 2027 and treated water will be sold from the third quarter of 2028.
Agua del Mariscal
Our investment in Agua del Mariscal also received extensive attention. This is the oldest private drinking water utility in Central America. Together with our partners, we are working on the complete modernisation and further growth of the company.
Dutch Clean Tech holds a 25% stake. Together, the shareholders are investing USD 60 million in the further growth of Agua del Mariscal. The investment is closely aligned with our mission: improving essential water infrastructure while creating sustainable value.
New issue
Finally, we presented the various bond categories of Dutch Clean Tech. In addition to the existing Waterfonds Obligaties I, work is under way on Waterfonds Obligaties II. This new issue is aimed at participations from €10,000, with an interest rate of 8% per year and a term of five years.
The final terms and legal documentation are of course always leading for any investment decision.
Thank you for your involvement
We look back on a very successful and substantive meeting. The large turnout, the sharp questions and the involvement of our investors and relations underline the confidence in our mission and in our further development.
After the presentation, there was ample opportunity to continue the conversation during the shared lunch.
On behalf of the entire Dutch Clean Tech team, we thank everyone who attended for coming, and for their trust and involvement.
