Marc van Hussen has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Dutch Clean Tech, effective 5 October 2026. His arrival strengthens the company's financial organisation during a phase in which its international portfolio of water treatment projects continues to grow.

Van Hussen has over 25 years of international financial experience, having worked at companies including Eurofins, COFRA Holding/C&A, GfK, SABMiller and Kimberly-Clark. Most recently, he was Finance Director Food & Feed Testing Benelux at Eurofins.
In previous roles, Van Hussen was responsible for areas including financial planning & analysis, performance management, cash flow steering and financial transformations within international organisations. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

International growth
Dutch Clean Tech finances, develops and operates water treatment and drinking water projects, with operations including Latin America. The company works according to the Build-Own-Operate model, in which Dutch Clean Tech finances and realises projects and subsequently remains responsible for their operation over the long term.

As CFO, Van Hussen will be responsible for the further professionalisation of the financial organisation and the financial management of the international project portfolio. The focus will include investments, financing, cash flow management, performance and the financial control of projects throughout their entire lifecycle.

“Our international growth requires a financial organisation that can scale alongside the size and duration of our projects. Marc brings a wealth of experience in financial management within international organisations. That expertise is important for the next growth phase of Dutch Clean Tech,” says Sander Pielkenrood, CEO of Dutch Clean Tech.

"Dutch Clean Tech is addressing a very concrete need: reliable access to clean water, with a business model focused on the long term. I look forward to working with the team to contribute to the company's continued growth," says Van Hussen.
